Bauchi Police Command Arrests 11 individuals for carrying dangerous weapons
The Bauchi State Police Command has announced the arrest of 11 individuals for carrying dangerous weapons in the aftermath of the announcement of the Gubernatorial election results in the state. The suspects, comprising of five adults and six teenagers, were apprehended at various locations within the Bauchi metropolis.
According to the command’s Public Relations Officer, Ahmed Wakil, the arrests were carried out in compliance with the command’s earlier warning to political party supporters not to engage in unruly celebrations or hold rallies that could lead to a breakdown of law and order in the state.
The tactical teams attached to the command had maintained an aggressive stance against miscreants across the state in a bid to curb the breakdown of law and order following the just concluded gubernatorial and state assembly elections. The police command has urged citizens to remain law-abiding and report any suspicious activities to the relevant authorities.
