Barcelona defender leaves hospital

Ronald Araujo has been discharged from the hospital after he was stretchered out of their match against Celta Vigo on Tuesday.

Araujo stood up and tried to play on after a collision with teammate Gavi before collapsing on the field.

Gavi and Araujo attempted a header on a looping ball in the 63rd minute, but Araujo contacted Gavi’s skull instead of the ball.

Barcelona later announced he suffered a concussion and was sent for further testing.

The defender has been one of the Blaugrana’s most promising players in recent months amid their financial struggles.
