Barcelona confirm Lewandowski transfer
Barcelona coach, Xavi Hernández has confirmed that the club are in talks with Robert Lewandowski.
According to GOAL, Xavi admitted that the club is currently in contact with the player, but emphasised on the club’s financial instability.
During a press conference on Saturday, May 21, Xavi noted that “It is a possibility that he could come, yes.
“He has said it publicly as well. There are negotiations, but it won’t be easy, he has a one-year contract with Bayern.”
He also admitted to the club’s inability to sign Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland due to unavailability of sufficient funds.
Xavi said, “That’s right. The economic situation is what it is. We are not in the bidding of Haaland or Mbappe, but it is what we have inherited. We must not look back, but forward.”
