Kannywood actress, Rahama Sadau who was expelled for hugging and cuddling in a music video, has gotten an invitation to Hollywood.

The 22-year-old expressed joy on Twitter after she received the invitation from Akon, an African-American artiste, to visit a film set in Los Angeles.

In various tweets, Hollywood stars like Miguel A Nunez Jr., an American comic-actor and Jeta Amata, a Nigerian film maker based in the United States, said they were looking forward to meeting Sadau.

“I can’t wait to meet you. We are going to have a blast. You will be huge here,” Nunez Jr. wrote on Twitter.

“We are going to have so much fun. One door closes another one opens.”

“@Rahma_sadau looking forward to seeing u in LA. Let’s empower our women and motivate them to grow. Fanning them is cooler then banning them,” Akon tweeted.

“@Rahma_sadau We look forward to seeing one of our own in Hollywood,” wrote Amata, the 52-year-old film maker.

Earlier in October, the Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (MOPPAN), said Sadau’s appearance in the music video of ClassiQ, a Hausa indigenous rapper, is “immoral”.

The statement released by the association noted that the expulsion would serve as a deterrent to actors and actresses in Kannywood, who are supposed to be good ambassadors to the society they represent.

The Kaduna polytechnic graduate has since apologised for any anxiety caused by her actions, saying touching is inevitable in her line of work.
