Aubameyang and deadline transfer days as Chelsea move, done deal
Pierre Emerick Aubameyang is set to leave Barcelona on deadline day to Chelsea as confirmed by transfer source, Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian journalist reveals La Liga club, Barcelona and Chelsea have both reached an agreement to let Pierre Emerick Aubameyang off the leeches of Barca in a move to return to England, just roughly months after leaving the Gunners.
The Gabon international’s return to London is one of humor considering it appears more like a tape on repeat as the same tale happened earlier in the January transfer window with Barcelona chasing after Arsenal to land the lethal striker.
And just roughly 8 months later, the reverse is the case as this time, it is fellow London club, Chelsea going after Aubameyang to force a return back to the English capital from a club who tried all it could to sign him on deadline day.
Like January, the transfer trickery was played by both clubs, with the deal looking like it was close to dying only for things to be sorted out at the crucial stage.
Reporting the news, Fabrizio Romano confirmed Chelsea and Barcelona have both reached an agreement in principle of €14m plus Marcos Alonso.
Pierre Emerick Aubameyang is expected to sign a 2 year deal with the option of another year in the deal with the player set to fly to London in coming hours for medical.
