Angry traveller destroys American airlines counter over plane ticket (Video)
A video has come out of a traveler in Chile breaking an American Airlines counter with a hammer after realizing that someone had sold him a fake plane ticket.
TopNaija gathered that late Monday night, August 26, the Haitian man got angry at Santiago’s Nuevo Pudahuel Airport as he tried to check in for his American Airlines trip to Miami, Florida.
Bystanders took video of the construction worker, who was supposed to stop in Miami on his way to Haiti. He was suddenly going through his work bag after an airline worker told him he wouldn’t be able to get on the flight.
He was caught on camera screaming as he climbed behind the bar and hit several TV screens on the wall with the hammer.
The man then broke several computer screens on the desk where people check in, as seen in the video.
The traveler damaged things worth about $20,000, according to the police.
He was finally caught by airport security and given to the police.
A representative for American Airlines confirmed the incident, saying that police were called to deal with a “disruptive individual” in the airport lounge.
“We thank our team for their professionalism and apologize to our customers for the inconvenience,” the spokesperson said in a statement.
