Randy Orton told not to return for WWE

The highly anticipated comeback of WWE legend Randy Orton has been cast into doubt as he has been advised against returning to the sport following a lengthy absence due to injury. The 43-year-old wrestling superstar has been sidelined for nearly a year due to ongoing physical ailments.

Orton’s most recent in-ring appearance took place in May 2022 during a title unification bout alongside Matt Riddle against the Usos, which ended in defeat.

However, since then, the veteran wrestler has been dealing with injury concerns, leading him to undergo back fusion surgery in November 2022. His recovery has been ongoing ever since.

Recent speculation surrounding Orton’s WWE future has arisen after his father, Bob Jnr, revealed that doctors have advised him not to make a return to the sport.

Speaking to Sportskeeda, Bob Jnr stated, “He’s training, so we’ll see what happens; I don’t know. If he feels like he’s ready to go back, I think he might, but again he’s pretty well taken care of. I don’t think he needs to. And I think the doctors have told him not to. But Randy will do what Randy wants to do.”

Throughout his illustrious career, Randy Orton, known as “The Viper,” has achieved remarkable success in professional wrestling. With an impressive 14 world championship titles to his name, he has made his mark over a span of two decades in the sport.

Last year, shortly after Orton’s injury, WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long expressed his hopes for Randy Orton to prioritize his well-being.

Long emphasized the importance of heeding medical advice and referenced other wrestling legends, such as Edge and Kurt Angle, who made the decision not to return to the ring after being warned by doctors about the potential dangers.

While fans eagerly await any updates on Randy Orton’s potential return to WWE, his health and overall well-being remain the primary concerns.

The decision to resume his career will ultimately be up to Orton himself, as he weighs his personal aspirations against the medical advice he has received.
