5 tips to help you get energized when you feel lazy

Laziness is something that we all struggle with from time to time. It’s not a bad thing to get your down time and rest up a bit. But when you are being lazy when you know you could be doing something more productive to get you closer to accomplishing your dreams and goals, that’s when laziness halts your success.

Here are a few tips that might help you get motivated and feel energized again whenever you are feeling lazy:

  1. Workout

Whenever you feel lazy or feel your energy levels are dropping, try an exercise. Motion creates emotion and you want to be proactive and beat laziness before it gets ahold of you and and holds you hostage. So get moving. Wake up before 5am and take a walk, hit the gym or go for a swim. Do something that gets your blood flowing and requires some movement for your body.

 

  1. Start writing

Get into the habit of writing when you start feeling lazy. Write your goals down, write your ideas down, watch a video and take notes. Writing is a great way to release stress and focus your mind on something bigger and more exciting.

 

  1. Go out and do something

Go outside and see something, walk somewhere, meet a friend to go to your favourite stores and just get inspired and focus your mind on what’s possible. Put yourself in an environment that inspires you and limits your opportunities to feel lazy and uninspired.

 

  1. Do something for someone else

Shifting your focus onto someone else’s challenges and being able to help someone always snaps you out of your funk. Whether that’s helping a friend move or simply helping someone carry their bags. Whatever it is, do something for someone else and watch how quickly your mood changes.

 

  1. Plan your next adventure or purchase

Get your note pad and pen and hop online and start planning your next adventure or big purchase. You always have to have something to look forward to in life and planning an adventure or a big purchase is an easy way to start feeling excited and motivated.
