40-year-old man in court for allegedly defiling 4-year-old girl in Benue

TopNaija reports that a 40-year-old  Nigerian man, Raphael Terlumun has been remanded in a correctional center for allegedly defiling a minor in the State.

The Magistrate, Ajuma Igama did not take Terlumun’s plea for want of jurisdiction.

The Magistrate adjourned the case until March 4.

Earlier, the prosecution, Sgt. Ato Godwin told the court that the father of the victim tabled the case at the ‘E’ Division Police Station, Makurdi on Jan 26.

The prosecution alleged that Terlumun lured the victim into his room where he committed the crime.

Godwin said that investigation into the matter was still ongoing and prayed the court for an adjournment.

The offense, he said, contravened the provisions of Section 284 of the Penal Code of Benue 2004.
