2023 Presidency: Former aide to Abacha wins presidential ticket

Hamza Al-Mustapha, a former aide to Sani Abacha has won the Action Alliance (AA) presidential ticket.

Al-Mustapha was declared the party’s presidential candidate on Thursday June 9 in Abuja.

He won the election with a total of 506 votes, defeating his only opponent, Samson Odupitan.

Reports also revealed that two other aspirants, Tunde Anifowose and Felix Osakwe stepped down for Al-Mustapha.
