World Health Organization (WHO) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Procurement Officer, Operations in Brazzaville, Congo. The duration of this post is 2 years.

The primary role of WHO is to direct and coordinate international health within the United Nations system.

Major Responsibilities
The Procurement Officer, Operations will perform the following-
-Plan, develop and supervise the implementation of the workplan and various procurement activities of the -Regional Office support office, including preparing the unit’s annual budget.
-Manage and facilitate team performance including through work assignments, guidance, coaching, evaluations, and promoting training and learning.
-Review and analyse all procurement requests received from the AFRO technical units as well as various country offices; Review and comment on various complex contractual documents.
-Review and monitor the preparation and distribution of invitations to bids (ITB) and request for proposals (RFP) to qualified suppliers and service providers.
-Analyse offers and make recommendations on awards to the regional Contract Review Committee.
-Ensure that recommendations for contract awards are in accordance with the Organization’s standards, policies and procedures.

Eligibility
Applicants must have-
-University degree in finance, public or business administration, or any other related field.
-Master’s degree in public or business administration or professional qualification in procurement from a qualified recognized institution.
-At least 5 years experience in supply and procurement services at international level preferably in large and complex environment.
-Excellent knowledge of English or French and a good working knowledge of the other.
