Best friend slams Mercy Aigbe with N500million lawsuit

The lady in the eye of the storm that has marked the end of Mercy Aigbe‘s marriage to Lanre Gentry, Opemititi Ajayi has slammed her former friend with a half a billion naira lawsuit for ‘defamation of character and cyberbullying’.

In a statement issued by Miss Ajayi’s lawyers, Afolabi Fashanu and Co of Abeokuta provided to NET, the interview by Mercy Aigbe has damaged her reputation and she is seeking reparation of N500million. It says in part ‘our client has denied strongly…that you were not close as falsely claimed by you and did not sleep with your husband…’

The Gentry marriage was marred by claims of infidelity and domestic violence; and saw Lanre Gentry spend a week at the Kirikiri Prisons.

When the press reached out to Mercy Aigbe, the actress  told us she was yet to receive the letter. ‘I am yet to be served any letter. When they send the letter to me, I’ll know exactly how to go about it’ she said.
