5 tips to consider to get whatever you want

The people who can help you are busy and you have a brief moment in time with which to convey that you are worth their investment of time. So how do you do it? You must be taken seriously first to even have a chance. If you are not taken seriously, you would not get what you want, and you will end up doing something you do not want to do for someone you do not even like. Commit to making whatever changes are necessary today so that you will be taken seriously any day and at any time.

Here are five ways you might want to consider before you approach people so as to get what you want at any time.

1. Get crystal clear on what it is you want. One of the greatest tensions in our lives is not knowing exactly what we want. We work hard to accomplish many things which ultimately leaves us feeling empty because we still don’t have what we want. Oftentimes it’s because we never defined it in the first place. Get clear on what exactly you want in life and define it.

2. Take yourself seriously first. If you do not believe in yourself, why should anyone else? You MUST believe in yourself first before you can convince anyone else to believe in you.

3. Dress/Look the part. Who do you want to be? Start dressing like that now. Have a few key staple items and accessorize around those to make your outfits look different. When people see you, they should immediately have the idea that you are worth talking to. That cannot happen if you are not dressed the part. There might not be a second chance.

4. Act the part. Once you look the part, you will begin to feel the part and you can start act the part. Visualize yourself already in the role that you want. What would you do, who would you be with, where would you go? Start acting as if it has already happened for you. Your mind will begin to draw those things into your life that will make you successful whether it’s people or opportunities.

5. Be prepared and practice. You must be prepared at any moment to be the person you want to be. When you go out, you never know who you are going to run into. You must be prepared anytime. Given a moment’s notice, are you ready? Are you ready to be taken seriously at anytime, anywhere?
