Zinchenko to be investigated for pitch side incident against Fulham

The Premier League game against Fulham may turn out to become a title winner for Arsenal come the end of the season should the Gunners build on the momentum, but for Oleksandr Zinchenko, it might be a game that puts him into trouble.

The Gunners narrowly avoided a loss when they came back with 25 minutes left on the clock to beat Fulham on Saturday.

But a remarkable moment that was noticed in the game was former Manchester City player, Oleksandr Zinchenko going at the fourth official while not in the match day squad.

This according to a former Premier League and FIFA referee, Hackett, was considered out of order with the referee explaining Zinchenko had no right to be in the dug out in the first place.

The 25-year-old was absent from the match day squad against Fulham due to injury but was in the dugout alongside the technical staff and substitutes.

And it was revealed in a footage shared by afcstuff on Twitter, that the Ukrainian had a row with the fourth official toward the end of the game as the Gunners looked for a winner.

“He’s out of order, he’s way out of order and he’s lucky to escape a yellow card which you can get,” Hackett said after analyzing the footage with Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.

“He could have also got his manager into trouble, that’s the thing. If the match officials can’t identify the trouble maker then he [Arteta] is in trouble.

“He has no right to be there. The staff of Arsenal did well to get him out of the way and out of trouble.

“He shouldn’t be anywhere near the bench. The Premier League might review that, if they get hold of it and have a look at it they might say ‘Right OK, we’ll do something more about it’.”

Zinchenko had started the first three games of the season before missing out against Fulham.
