The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Commissioner of Police, Sunday Babaji on Monday revealed that a 26-year-old National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, Terungwa Stephanie was allegedly killed from exposure to a corrosive substance.

This was disclosed while three suspects: Jenifer Tsembe 26, Monday Simon (a.k.a Black) 36 and Solomon Abu 35 were paraded for their complicity in the death of Terungwa Stephanie.

The police boss had gathered through investigations that the suspects criminally conspired and murdered the victim to separate her from Edward Achadu who she had been living with at City Homes Estate Lokogoma so that one of the suspects and an estranged lover of Edward could have him all to herself.

Narrating her side of the story, Tsembe told The Whistler, and in their reports, it said she had no intention of killing the deceased but to abduct her and demand ransom from Edward. Tsembe then switched the allegations towards the male suspect; Solomon whom she claimed initiated the plan.

However, the other suspects denied the allegations of Tsembe, accusing her of having conceived the plan herself.

The suspects claimed that after they had played their part, Tsembe instructed them to leave while she stayed behind with Stephanie and her child.

The reports then alleged that Simon; one of the other suspects, had returned to find the victim bathed in acid and dead.

With some truth to the statement, reports revealed some part of Tsembe’s arm were covered with scars reportedly from the substance used to kill Stephanie.

The police revealed they will go into further investigations to uncover everything there was about the case, with the police commissioner promising, “The suspects will be charged to court upon the conclusion of the investigation,”
