You have failed—Gallas blasts Arteta

While many felt last season was an improvement to Arsenal based on performance basis, true Gunners saw what really lies behind the curtain for Mikel Arteta’s Gunners.

It was quite far from being one they would call a success or even within such commendations, especially for former Arsenal defender and legend, William Galas.

Speaking about the Spaniard’s seasons being manager of the North London side, Gallas sees no cajoling Arteta all due to the fact the former defender categorizes his tenure as Manager as a failure.

The Gunners fan notes that the former Everton player and Manchester City’s assistant coach, has done little to nothing to change the club’s fortune in playing Champions League football again.

He adds that the Spaniard has no excuses not qualifying for the Champions League , and he shouldn’t look for any should he miss it a second time.

Arsenal and North London’s arch rivals oddly went for a top 4 finish towards the back end of last season and much to everyone’s surprise, saw Spurs become the one to claim the final 4th place finish in the league.

The finish to the season doomed the club to the Europa League even after having quite the spectacular results and performances that showed the glimpse of Arsene Wenger era of football.

For Gallas, he has a few words to say about Arteta:

“For me, last season he failed because he didn’t qualify for the Champions League. That is the minimum for Arsenal, with the story of Arsenal, they have to play the Champions League,” He said to Metro.

“For a big club like Arsenal, so for me, he has failed… I think maybe he will be in trouble.

“Now he won’t have any excuse if he doesn’t start well or qualify for the Champions League, he can’t have any excuses.”
