Yinka Ayefele speaks on welcoming triplets with wife
Nigerian music producer and gospel singer, Yinka Ayefele has broken silence on rumours making the rounds that he had welcomed a set of triplets with Temitope Ayefele, his wife.
There were reports that the singer’s wife had birthed three babies in the United States.
In his response via his social media platform, the 51-year-old father of three described the news as “fake,” while asking fans to disregard such claims.
“Fake News, Fake Pictures. That picture was taken 7yrs ago during my younger brothers naming at music house in Ibadan. Thank you all for Wishing me well and I claim it in Jesus name,” Ayefele said.
Although sources reported that the singer is currently in the United States, it was gathered that his trip was to provide his ailing mother with quality medical care — not for childbirth.
Ayefele has been on a wheelchair after he got caught in a ghastly auto crash that damaged his spinal cord in 1997. Earlier this year, the singer had expressed a strong belief that he’ll be able to use his legs again.
“At a point, yes! But I’m an incurable optimist. I’m of the firm belief that nothing is impossible. I know I will still walk again. I believe that with God, all things are possible,” he had said in an interview.
The multiple award-winning gospel crooner has continued to release albums since 1998. His music has gained traction so much that he was awarded the cultural ambassador in Ekiti.
Ayefele, who got married to Temitope in 2000, sings in different languages including English, Yoruba, Igbo, and Hausa.
