Xavi’s antics triggers Barcelona player wanting a move to Man United
As the transfer window nears a closing date, so will the rumors and speculations begin to take a dramatic turn, and the latest in the gist states Barcelona right-back, Sergino Dest will be forced to join Man United before the window shuts.
This is in response to Barcelona manager, Xavi Hernandez declaring to the player that he will no longer factor in his plans this season.
ESPN reports that Dest understands his game-time at Barcelona will be limited going forward and is therefore open to joining Manchester United.
Dest has seen himself benched in Barcelona’s first 3 games of the season after showing initial reluctance to leave the club in the window.
The Catalan side have also set a price tag for Man United to sign the player before Thursday, with reports that Erik ten Hag wants to bolster his defensive options before the window closes.
The Spanish club wants £20 million, the same amount they spent on the Brazilian when they signed him two years ago.
The reports of Sergino Dest wanting a move to Old Trafford, lines up with the rumors that Manchester United are considering doing away with right-back, Aaron Wan Bissaka this summer as the club was earlier said to have placed the player on the sale’s list.
