WWE loses its Wrestling icon to death

The wrestling world loses one of its own in former wrestler and Welsh wrestling icon Adrian Street who has been confirmed dead at 82.

His death was confirmed by his wife to the BBC, revealing the Welsh wrestling icon had battled sepsis diagnosis after being hospitalized with brain haemorhage.

“He was recovering from that at home when he developed colitis – a chronic inflammatory bowel disease – which later turned into sepsis. That’s what killed him.” Linda Street told BBC.

Adrian Street had previously been diagnosed of and had survived throat cancer in 2001 as revealed by Welsh publication, Wales Online, but his wife revealed that his recent health issues had developed all so quick.

“I’ve still not come to terms with it yet. the kindest, most loving man you could ever meet.”

Linda Street reveals that she intends to spread his ashes near their home in Cwmbran, Wales after cremating the wrestling icon.

Adrian and his wife, Linda Street reportedly first met in 1969, and had worked with his wife who has served as his ring manager through different promotions in the United Kingdom, Germany, Mexico, and Canada, before finding a home at the Continental Championship Wrestling promotion in Birmingham, Alabama.

Prior to his death and during the peak of his wrestling career, Adrian Street was known for his flamboyant and charismatic persona in the ring.

The WWE also celebrated Adrian Street’s nearly 60-year-long career as being one that included designing wrestling attire worn by Mick Foley and appearing in the 1981 film Quest for Fire.
