Woman Flogged For Allegedly Stealing Three Bunches Of Plantain In Akwa Ibom
After being accused of stealing three bunches of plantain in Okon Eket village in Akwa Ibom State, a lady identified as Obot Udo Ekpo was cruelly beaten by youth leaders.
According to reports, the culprit was apprehended on Monday, October 16, 2023.
People’s accounts suggested that she planned to sell the stolen plantain bunches at today’s famed weekly Urua Udo Inyang market, but her luck ran out.
The culprit, who is from Ikot Akpandem in Okon Eket, has been turned over to the police at Uqua Division for investigation and prosecution by the local Youth President, Akparawa Uyai Udo Jacob.
