Wizkid’s associate slams Yemi Alade for defending Angelique Kidjo at the Grammy

Godson, an associate of popular music star, Wizkid, has blasted Yemi Alade for celebrating with Grammy-award-winner, Angelique Kidjo.

As many still question the decision of the organizers of the 2022 Grammy, Godson, an associate of Wizkid has exerted his frustration on Yemi Alade after Angelique won a Grammy Award over his boss.

TopNaija recalls that Angelique emerged winner of the Best Global Music Album, a category Wizkid was also nominated for but lost to her in the recently-concluded Grammy 2022.

Following her win, Yemi Alade, who featured in her winning album, ‘Mother Nature’ took to her verified IG page to congratulate the Beninese singer on her win.

Yemi Alade shared a photo of the singer and captioned, “Epitome of Womanhood, leadership and Consistency. Congratulations Maami.”

Following a tweet from a user who defended Angelique, Yemi also stood in defense with the tweet, as the user said she deserves the win because of the quality of her music.

Speaking of recent events, Wizkid sold out a venue for his forthcoming “Made In Lagos” tour in Paris.

Reacting, Godson took to social media to lambast Yemi, stating that even though she is trying to fit into the French market, she will never be able to sell out a venue in one minute as Wizkid did.

He wrote, “Yemi Alade with ur french n francophone sing alike meaningful and soulful music will never be able to sell any venue out in 1min till u die yes till u die”.
