Wizkid, Drake shutdown London O2 Arena with ‘Come Closer’ | Watch!

Grammy award-winning artiste, Drake wowed audience while performing alongside Wizkid at the O2 Arena in Peninsula Square, North Greenwich, London, United Kingdom.

The ‘Ojuelegba’ crooner, who is no doubt Nigeria’s biggest export, was brought on stage by Drake to perform ‘Come Closer,’ their hit single, during his ‘Assassination Vacation Tour’ at the 20,000-capacity arena in the early hours of Tuesday.

Towards the end of the show, Drake, who appeared to have been excited with the Afro-pop star’s performance, requested that; “I need one more song” — indicating his interest to perform another song with Wizkid.

The DJ immediately played ‘Soco,’ one of Wizkid’s hit singles.

The  ‘Fever’ singer who completed his Canadian tour on Monday had earlier hinted a soon coming collaborative work with Drake.

“It’s always exciting working with someone like Drake, I do my own little things in Africa and around the world,” Wizkid had said.

“It’s always amazing when you get to the studio with artists as talented as you are bringing different value to the music. And I want you guys to know that new Wizkid-Drake is coming soon.”

‘Come Closer’ was released on March 31, 2017, as the lead single from Wizkid’s third studio album, ‘Sounds from the Other Side.’

The single peaked at number 58 on the UK Singles Chart, becoming Wizkid’s first charting single as a lead artist, and the best-performing African record of 2017 at large.

The ‘Ojuelegba’ crooner had earlier sold out the O2 arena at his headlined concert held in 2018.
