When we saw the prequel, Wives on Strike in 2016, we thought we had seen it all with the dexterous acts of the casts, we never had the faintest idea that the producer cum director of the box office movie, Omoni Oboli, had something more scintillating up her sleeve.

When you have Toyin Abraham, Odunlade Adekola, Sola Shobowale and Chigul enmeshed in a movie, then you should know you are in for the greatest treat of humour and drama. You just wouldn’t be able to contain what would be coming to you.

The first “Wives on Strike” movie followed the story of a group of market women, who decided to take matters into their own hands against their husbands in a bid to stir them into standing up for a young girl, whom they wanted to protect from the wishes of her own father.

The newly added cast have given not only a unique touch of comedy but have come in with their A game to thrill cinema goers.

Other members of cast are, Omoni Oboli, Uche Jombo, Ufuoma Mcdermott, Chioma Akpotha, Julius Agwu, Keneth Okonkwo,  Sani Danja and others.

Speaking with her fans, Sola Sobowale has asked the fans of the movie to be in anticipation whilst expecting her best.

The movie, written, produced and directed by Omoni Oboli, is set to be released in cinemas across Nigeria on Friday, 29th December, 2017.

Omoni Oboli is the only producer who has had back-to-back box office success with four movies consecutively with movies such as; “Being Mrs. Elliot”, “First Lady”, “Okafor’s Law”, and “Wives on Strike”.
