Wipro Cuts Salaries Of Recruiters

Wipro had promised to offer high salaries to fresh recruiters, but has now cut their annual pay by almost 50%.

The salary cut was communicated to all the candidates who had completed the Velocity graduates program in 2023.

Wipro has cited bad macroeconomic conditions as the reason for the salary cut and the need to adjust their onboarding plans.

The company has offered project engineer roles to the candidates with an annual compensation of Rs 3.5 lakh and given them the option to accept or decline the offer.

Wipro has defended its decision by saying that the candidates are getting an immediate opportunity to build their expertise and learn new skills. However, some industry experts have criticized the move as unethical.
