Will Jurgen Klopp consider move to Manchester City?

Close your eyes Liverpool fans, you don’t want to see this in anyway. Like, imagine Liverpool’s current manager in the Etihad dug out after Pep Guardiola leaves, as City’s new manager. It doesn’t feel right, does it?

Just imagine all that he has achieved with Liverpool, the fights against City for the league title, the cheeky digs on Manchester City; just to have Klopp take over the Manchester club immediately Guardiola walks out the door.

Even Klopp doesn’t think so too. Cause seriously, the Manchester City versus Liverpool fixture has become a very different ball game now, it’s almost like a traditional derby, and to have someone who has been front and center of it all, switch to the divide, feels more like the ultimate betrayal; a dagger to the chest.

Of course, other managers will consider such opportunities; it’s just a coaching job at the end of the day, but Klopp is different. It’s something no one can imagine. Perhaps he could cross the divide but definitely not anytime soon, and not while the rivalry is this intense.

Speaking to The Telegraph, the Liverpool manager denied any thoughts of ever thinking of replacing Pep Guardiola as the Manchester City manager in the future.

He clarified this when he revealed he had offered from Bayern Munich while still at Liverpool to leave the reds and come manage the German club. The former Borussia Dortmund boss in plain terms told Bayern he was very much happy at Liverpool and wanted to stay at Anfield no matter how tough it felt.

The German ruled out the prospect of him ever taking charge of Manchester City, asking; “Which club should I go to have a different situation? Tell me.

“The only thing I could do is ask Pep (Guardiola) if he is sick of all that winning and I take over at City. Is that the idea? That wouldn’t work, I don’t want to do it. I could have gone to Bayern a few times. I could have won more titles in my life, pretty sure I would say – a good chance at least. I didn’t do it. I had a contract here and I never did it. The world is not full of winners. The world is full of triers, hopefully.  I try and sometimes I win together with some other people. I am happy with that.” The Liverpool boss said.

It could be the most political answer there is but a gut feeling will tell every football fan that Klopp is all about the emotions. He has endeared himself so much into Liverpool minds to see himself at a Premier League title rival’s dug out as manager against Liverpool.
