Wife of former Edo governor, Iara Oshiomole granted Nigerian citizenship

Iara Oshiomole has been granted Nigerian citizenship alongside 334 others on Tuesday, May 16, 2017.

The wife of former Edo State governor, Adams Oshiomole is from Cape Verde and had her citizenship approved by the Federal Executive Council.

A breakdown of the new citizens saw 245 foreigners being granted citizenship by naturalisation.

The other 90 new citizens became Nigerians by registration, as they mainly comprise foreign women married to Nigerians, including Iara.
