Erik ten Hag Is A Liar, Maguire Was Never Ill

Manchester United kick started their pre-season early facing Spanish side Cadiz in a 4-2 loss, and like the result states, the Red Devils manager, Erik ten Hag had some questions to answer on the night.

Erik ten Hag, manager of Manchester United, has provided a candid appraisal of his team’s 4-2 loss to Cadiz in a friendly on Wednesday.

The Red Devils’ midseason tour in Spain got off to a losing start.

The team Erik ten Hag presented on the day lost to Cadiz, who are presently ranked 19th in La Liga. Ten Hag’s team fell behind by two goals before coming back to tie the score at halftime.

After the break, Kobbie Mainoo made it 2-2 for United. Erik ten Hag made ten substitutions, which worked to Cadiz’s favour as they added two more goals in the second half.

After the game, Ten Hag stated to MUTV:

“It’s quite clear we were not awake, we were asleep in the first 15 minutes. They were a threat in transition.

“In the second goal we were not awake, a bad rest defence – especially in the midfield, we got run off. It’s not possible, unacceptable.

“The first goal as well, a set play, bad organisation and discipline; you concede a goal.”

Prior to playing again in the Carabao Cup against Burnley on December 21, United will play Real Betis on December 10.
