See the huge fee Chelsea paid for Graham Potter

Sunday night was a chance for Chelsea to cover the growing gap between them and the top 4 position and to an extent even build on their goal difference against closest rivals in the top 4 position, but as seen from how a Graham Potter side played on the night, a draw appeared so kind for the Blues considering they almost lost their way in the Forest.

Graham Potter, the manager of Chelsea, has provided an explanation for why his team was unable to defeat Nottingham Forest on New Year’s Day in the Premier League.

Furthermore, he implied that Chelsea “did not deserve” to win the match and made light of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s missed opportunity for the Blues in the second half.

Potter’s team drew 1-1 with Nottingham Forest on the road on Sunday, falling seven points off the top four.

Raheem Sterling gave the Blues the lead in the first half, but a grizzled Forest team troubled the West Londoners the whole second.

Midway through the second half, Serge Aurier’s kicks gave the home team a well-deserved equalizer.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, the Chelsea boss said:

“A hard-earned point, against a team that are set up well. They put us under pressure second half.

“Our performance level wasn’t good enough to take the three points. We didn’t move the ball fast enough.

“Pierre [Emerick Aubameyang] had a good chance but it would’ve been unfair to take the three points.”
