Following the game, Arsenal’s manager Mikel Arteta addressed the media, reflecting on the closely contested match. He commended his team’s resilience, stating,

“It was a really tough, really close match against a team that is unbelievable. I think the boys competed really, really well. We were really disciplined and patient when we had to be.”

The Arsenal manager acknowledged missed opportunities, highlighting the need for greater composure, particularly in possession.

Despite the commendable defensive performance, the manager revealed that the players were not entirely satisfied with the result, emphasizing their hunger for improvement.

“That’s the feeling I get every day in the dressing room,” Arteta remarked.

“We have prevented this team for the first time in three years to score a goal at home. And that tells you the difficulty of it. But they want more.”

Looking ahead, the Spaniard shifted focus to the upcoming fixture against Luton, stressing the importance of maintaining positive momentum.

“Now it’s Luton, this has gone now,” he stated.

“It’s Luton, a really tough opponent. We need our people again on Wednesday night to create an unbelievable atmosphere and go again and try to win the game.”
