Why Tinubu fled to UK – Aide

The actual reason an APC Presidential aspirant, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu travelled to London, United Kingdom has emerged contrary to views outside.

Social media have been awashed with reports of Tinubu’s travel to London, with some saying he has gone to rest and others saying he visited his family.

Some people are even thinking that Tinubu might be sick afterall and has gone for medical treatment abroad.

But his spokesman, Tunde Rahman has doused the tension, saying the Asiwaju travelled abroad for consultations over his presidential interest.

Rahman tweeted: “HE Asíwájú Tinubu is engaged in meetings and consultations over his presidential interest.

“Some of these consultations are holding abroad. So if in The UK at present, this is why!”

He said the former governor of Lagos is expected back into the country next week.

Tinubu’s political career began in 1992, when he joined the Social Democratic Party where he was a member of the Peoples Front faction led by Shehu Musa Yar’Adua and made up of other politicians such as Umaru Yar’Adua, Atiku Abubakar, Baba Gana Kingibe, Rabiu Kwankwaso, Abdullahi Aliyu Sumaila, Magaji Abdullahi, Dapo Sarumi and Yomi Edu. He was elected to the Senate, representing the Lagos West constituency in the short-lived Nigerian Third Republic.
