Why Sofyan Amrabat signing is stalling — Fabrizio Romano
The summer transfer has been wide and a lot of clubs have been stung by its wave but a current deal that is still lagging is the Sofyan Amrabat move to Manchester United.
The move has been on for a while with little moving on that end towards the Moroccan midfielder getting any closer to Old Trafford.
Transfer expert and football insider, Fabrizio Romano has revealed the circumstances delaying Sofyan Amrabat from putting on the Manchester United jersey.
According to Romano, Manchester United are waiting to sell midfielder Donny van de Beek to Spanish La Liga side Real Sociedad before making an official bid to sign the Moroccan star from Fiorentina.
Sofyan Amrabat is keen on the move, and has favored Old Trafford move to staying in Fiorentina.
The midfielder has worked with the Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag during their time at Utrecht in the past.
“Man United want to complete more outgoings before making an official bid for Amrabat so they keep working on the Donny van de Beek deal with Real Sociedad.
“From what I am told, they are still discussing a deal with Man United for Van de Beek,” Romano told the Debrief podcast.
“After they clarify the situation of Van de Beek, they will enter into concrete talks for Sofyan Amrabat.”
