Why Salah won't leave Liverpool -- Carragher gives reasons

Is it time for Mohamed Salah to leave Liverpool?

The rumor mill went wild these couple of days about the potential exit of Liverpool’s Egyptian maestro, Mohamed Salah from Anfield, with reports speculating the match versus Newcastle United was the former Chelsea man’s last in Red ahead of a Saudi Arabia move.

However, Liverpool legend and Sky Sports pundit, Jamie Carragher has reasons why the Egyptian will not depart the club this summer.

According to the former Liverpool defender, he has claimed Mohamed Salah cannot eye a an exit from the Premier League in the final week of the window despite a big money move beckoning on him from Al Ittihad.

Carragher had earlier stated that only an offer above £150m could tempt Liverpool to let go of the Egyptian this summer, but following the match versus Newcastle, the former England international has revealed reasons why such move will no longer be feasible for the Reds.

The Sky Sports pundit feels the short time to reinvest in the squad will make the club to be hesitant to let go of Salah.

“I don’t think Mo Salah will go. One, because it’s so late in the window. And I don’t necessarily think Mo Salah will want to go.

“I think Salah will be a little bit like Ronaldo, I can see him playing until his late 30s. He will think he has another three or four years [at the highest level]. He has two years left on his Liverpool contract, I don’t know if he will stay beyond that,” Carragher said.
