Why Presidential election results shattered expectations – Garba Shehu

According to Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, many had already declared a winner before the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) even had a chance to announce the official results.

In an interview with Arise Television News, Shehu acknowledged that there were irregularities in the election, but he also stated that it was still the most improved election in Nigeria’s history. He went on to say that the Buhari regime had worked hard to lay the groundwork for credible elections in the country, and it was now up to INEC to manage the collation of results.
