Why Senate postponed screening of ministerial nominees

The Presidency has postponed the screening and confirmation of ministerial nominees to allow all nominees to conclude all aspects of documentation and pre-screening exercises.

TopNaija News reports that the screening exercise was initially scheduled to be held on Tuesday (today) on the floor of the Senate but the Presidency said the exercise has now been shifted to Wednesday noon.

This was contained in a statement on Tuesday signed by Special Adviser to President Tinubu on Senate Matters, Basheer Lado.

Last Wednesday, President Bola Tinubu sacked five ministers, re-assigned 10 ministers to new ministerial portfolios and appointed seven new ministers for Senate confirmation.
