Why Manchester City were scared of this 'Club'

It is a well known knowledge that Manchester City fought out a 2-2 draw against Arsenal recently, in a tie packed with drama after full-time whistle than it did in-game.

Narratives riled from Erling Haaland’s antics versus Arsenal boss, Mikel Arteta, to a fiery clash between Kai Havertz and Rodri. However, it’s now been revealed that Manchester City’s antics were nothing more than disrespect towards a side the Cityzens do not fear or consider an equal at all.

In a recent comment, commentator Riccardo Trevisani has revealed what a Manchester City defender, Josko Gvardiol whispered about the Premier League Champions and their premier league opponents.

“No team in the Premier League has ever faced us like Inter did,” Gvardior revealed during a dinner meeting with the commentator.

According to the Manchester City player, Serie A side Inter Milan is the one team that truly unnerves City.

City faced Inter in the Champions League last week, and despite their usual dominance at the Etihad, the reigning European champions were held to a rare 0-0 draw. Gvardiol admitted that Inter’s bold approach rattled City in a way that no Premier League side ever has.

Even after the intense battle with Arsenal, City players seem to respect the psychological and physical challenge Inter posed in their Champions League encounter, with Gvardiol noting that Inter’s fearlessness “killed them off.”

With both teams leaving the pitch without a goal, it was a stark reminder that even the Premier League’s giants struggle to crack Italy’s elite.

As City continue to battle for European supremacy, it’s clear that Inter Milan, not Arsenal, is the club that lingers in their minds.
