Why Let Mane leave?—Liverpool legend blasts Club Owners

Monday night defeat to Manchester United left quite a lot of a sad taste in the lips of Liverpool fans, and for former Liverpool player and legend, Dean Saunders wonders why the club allowed Sadio Mane to leave.

According to Dean Saunders, he admits the Reds are missing Sadio Mane by all accounts describing the Senegalese as not just a goal scorer but a fighter.

Saunders admits Liverpool and the team is missing Sadio Mane’s all-round game and not just his goals after the sad defeat to arch rivals, Manchester United.

The Senegal star left Anfield for Bayern Munich over the summer in a shock move that was questioned by all in England.

The Reds began their Premier League campaign on a hugely poor note with two draws to Fulham and Crystal Palace, before meeting their eventual fate in a 2-1 defeat at Old Trafford.

Mane, on the other hand, has enjoyed quite a brilliant start to life in Germany in contrast to a Liverpool side struggling in the Premier League.

“It’s easy to say but you can’t let a player like Mane leave and replace him,” Sounders told talkSPORT.

“Sadio Mane carries the fight on that whole left. He does more than just score!”

Although fair play to Liverpool, the club can be judged to be down due to suffering multiple injuries at both all angles of the pitch, with key players out for lengthy periods.

The midfield has been something of a widely talked about topic for fans and pundits as the club looks thin in its engine room, which in the game against Manchester United, was largely noticed.

The team lacked decisive passes to the front 3 while the union of Jordan Henderson, Harvey Eliot and James Milner left the defense too open for Manchester United to have an easy life all throughout the game.
