Why I returned the missing $10,000 – Airport cleaner

Employee Auwalu Ahmed Dankade at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport was praised for being honest when he returned $10,000 he found on an Egyptian plane while cleaning it.

People from a news outlet who talked to Dankade said that he did what he did because he wanted to please Allah.

The huge sum of amount, which is about N15 million, was found on Wednesday and was quickly reported to his boss, who made sure it was returned safely to its rightful owner.

“I have been trained not to take what does not belong to me. Anything you take unlawfully, you will be held accountable for in the hereafter.

“My parents taught us to be content with whatever we have, and this upbringing made it easy for me to return the money,” said Dankade in a telephone interview with Daily Trust.
