Why Gabriel Jesus Is A Better Player Than Haaland — Ederson

Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson has named the two areas where Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus is better than teammate Erling Haaland.

Prior to joining Arsenal last summer, Gabriel Jesus spent some time under Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City and as a teammate of Ederson Morales. Gabriel Jesus’ exit led to the signing of Erling Haaland by Pep Guardiola’s side from Borussia Dortmund.

Ederson praised Haaland’s scoring ability, saying that he is a “brilliant goalscorer” who always looks to score and help the team. However, he also noted that Jesus is stronger and more versatile than Haaland, and likes to come in from out wide.

Ederson told UEFA, “When you get into the final third, you have someone who will always be in the area.”

He added that Haaland plays more centrally and is a target in the area, which is the major difference between the two players.

Jesus has made a strong start to his Arsenal career, scoring five goals and providing four assists in 21 appearances in all competitions. Meanwhile, Haaland has scored 30 goals and provided eight assists in 31 appearances for Manchester City.

The debate over who is the better player is likely to continue, but Ederson’s comments suggest that both players have different strengths that they bring to their respective teams.

As Arsenal and Manchester City continue to compete for honors, the performances of Jesus and Haaland will be closely watched by fans and experts alike should Jesus return to the Gunners’ team.
