Why 2baba has the right to demand good governance – MI Abaga

Notable rapper, Jude ‘MI’ Abaga, has voiced that Nigerian celebrities including 2baba Idibia have the right to demand good governance from elected officers.

In a series of tweets, Mr Incredible, as he is fondly called, said he worked with 2baba in 2011 on a non-partisan project to get Nigerian youths to vote in the general election.

He said if celebrities could support politicians to get into office, they possess the same right to complain when they underperform.

“The election where good luck was elected…both 2baba and I were involved in NON partisan movements to get youths to vote,” he wrote.

“This last election, Tuface organised a movement for peaceful voting across the country. Celebs have chosen to support candidates as it’s their right to do…it is also their right to demand better from their elected officers”.

Innocent ‘2baba’ Idibia is leading a protest against government policies on Monday, February 5, to demand better treatment for Nigerians.

The march has been criticised by some Nigerians while many have signified their intention to join the African Queen singer.

The protest march is supported by Enough is Enough Nigeria (EIE) and 2face foundation, TopNaija reports.
