Where is the President — Reuben Abati raises alarm
Renowned journalist and former presidential spokesperson, Reuben Abati, has raised questions regarding the whereabouts of Nigerian President, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
Abati expressed concerns about the absence of President Tinubu from the public eye in recent days, without any official explanation provided for his whereabouts.
Reuben Abati, during a discussion on the Arsie TV Morning Show, questioned the President’s handlers, urging them to ensure that President Tinubu is consistently visible in the news to keep the public informed about his activities and well-being.
The last known public appearance of President Tinubu was during the October 1st celebration of Nigeria’s 63rd independence anniversary.
This appearance came shortly after his return from an extended trip to New York to attend the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
It’s worth noting that President Tinubu’s whereabouts were shrouded in mystery until his return to Nigeria on the night of September 29.
Although unconfirmed reports suggested that he had traveled to Paris from New York.
Reuben Abati pointed out several key government actions and responsibilities that have remained unattended to during President Tinubu’s absence.
Notably, there has been no council meeting, recently screened Ministers have not been inaugurated, and various urgent government matters have gone unaddressed.
Furthermore, President Tinubu has not been seen at official functions, nor has he been receiving guests at Aso Rock, the presidential residence.
Instead, Vice President Kashim Shettima has been the one representing the government in public appearances and official functions.
