Lionel Messi is well respected in and around the globe for his remarkable talents, well except for PSG fans though, but Aston Villa Goal Keeper and Argentina player, has revealed Messi is a different subject in Argentina as a whole.

The former Arsenal goalkeeper claims that the President of his country has to stay quiet when national team captain, Lionel Messi speaks.

Martinez said this when he recounted Messi’s speech to the team on the day of their Copa America victory.

On the day the 34-year-old led the team with a rallying cry, Martinez admitted it gave everyone within the dressing room and who was involved in the game, goosebumps.

Argentina ultimately claimed the trophy, giving the Paris Saint-Germain superstar his first ever senior international trophy for his country.

“He made a speech saying this was going to be his last one and that he was going to give it his all,” Martinez told Prime Video.

“I was like, little shivers, to Messi talking. Everyone shuts up. They’re all like that, whoever it is: manager, President of Argentina, whoever is there. They just shut up.” The Copa America hero and winner revealed
