When Chelsea Will Face Liverpool Again

English Premier League fans will be excited to hear that the postponed match between Chelsea and Liverpool has been rescheduled for Tuesday, April 4, 2023. The game was initially postponed in September 2022 due to the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, along with three other fixtures. The match will take place at Stamford Bridge and will kick off at 8 pm BST.

The Premier League released a statement explaining that the postponement was due to extensive consultations with clubs, police, local Safety Advisory Groups, and other relevant authorities. There was no option but to postpone the remaining fixtures until further notice.

Both Liverpool and Chelsea have had a challenging season so far, with Liverpool currently sitting in 8th place on the league table with 35 points, while Chelsea is in 10th position with 31 points.

Liverpool’s recent defeat by Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League match at their home ground, Anfield Stadium, left fans disappointed. Real Madrid won the round of 16 first-leg tie with a stunning 2-5 victory over Liverpool. Karim Benzema and Vinicius Jr each scored two goals for Real Madrid, who had beaten Liverpool in two UEFA Champions League finals in the last five years (2018 and 2022).

Despite Liverpool starting the match well, scoring the opening goals through Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah, the Spanish side made a remarkable comeback with five goals before the 90th minute of the match.

Fans of both teams are eagerly anticipating the upcoming clash between Chelsea and Liverpool, hoping for an exciting match filled with thrilling moments and unforgettable goals.
