What The World Cup Defeats Will Do To Kylian Mbappe—Hugo Lloris
What a game between France and Argentina in a scintillating world cup final that had Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe on full display, but for the French team, Hugo Lloris was the villain of the night.
The Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper and captain, Hugo Lloris believes the defeat does more for the France team ahead of the next edition of the world cup and improves the star man on the night, Kylian Mbappe in the future to come.
According to France goalie, Hugo Lloris, their World Cup loss to Argentina was nothing more than a passing of the torch to its eventual winners, Argentina.
After a dramatic 3-3 draw in regulation and extra time, France was defeated 4-2 on penalties.
As a result of Aurelien Tchouameni’s miss and Kingsley Coman’s saved penalty kick for Bayern Munich, Argentina won the World Cup under the leadership of Lionel Messi.
The France captain also believed that a young team in the future could benefit from the Qatar experience.
“I believe this tournament can be used for the future of the team,” Lloris told reporters.
“It was a bit of a handover between a generation arriving in the last phase of their career and a new generation led by Kylian.
‘He showed strong leadership and even more so in this final. We must keep this French team at the top,” he added.
