What Sergio Aguero said about Chelsea vs. Real Madrid

Former Manchester City striker and Argentina international, Sergio Aguero, has predicted that Real Madrid will come out on top in their upcoming Champions League quarter-final clash against Chelsea.

Despite Chelsea recording three consecutive wins prior to their 2-2 draw with Everton before the international break, Aguero believes that Real Madrid’s history and recent form make them the more likely victors in the tie.

“Granted, Madrid is tried and true in these kinds of matches. Their history – and recent showings – prove as much. They’ll be the toughest of oppositions,” Aguero told Stake.

However, the striker also acknowledged that “it isn’t over until we see how the games play out” and that “sometimes, the most minor thing can make a world of difference.” He suggested that even though Real Madrid are the favourites, it won’t be an easy match for them.

Chelsea reached the quarter-finals after beating German side Borussia Dortmund in a closely contested last-16 clash. The London club will be looking to continue their impressive form in the competition and secure a place in the semi-finals.
