What separates Mikel Arteta from Chelsea managers -- Jorginho

Arsenal midfielder and former Chelsea player, Jorge Luiz Frello Filho Cavaliere otherwise known as Jorginho has opened up about working with the Gunners boss, Mikel Arteta and what separates the Spaniard from his previous coaches.

The Arsenal midfielder opened up about his move to North London earlier in January of this year while dismissing speculations surrounding his future at the Emirates.

The former Chelsea star whose contract supposedly expires in 2024, expressed contentment at Arsenal, with Jorginho emphasizing on the impact his current manager played in ensuring the move to North London.

According to the Italian, Mikel Arteta’s wealth of knowledge and his invaluable guidance is a key factor that keeps him at the Emirates.

“Obviously, it takes time to understand the mechanisms better. Arteta gives you a billion pieces of information but I am very happy there.” Jorginho said.

During his international duties ahead of Italy’s European Championship qualifier against North Macedonia, Jorginho revealed his intention to eventually return to Serie A before concluding his career.

“I’m torn; I aspire to return [to Italy], but the timing remains uncertain,” stated Jorginho.

“I do wish to go back, but when that will be, I’m unsure. I sense there are still objectives for me at Arsenal. Adapting to a new team always requires time, yet my initial six months at Arsenal were far from negative; they were quite the opposite.”

He continued, emphasizing the learning curve since joining Arsenal in January after departing Chelsea:

“Adapting to new teams and coaches entails absorbing vast amounts of information. I’ve experienced substantial growth on the pitch, both in skill and experience. I’ve learned more about the game and the art of competition.”
