What people didn't know Pete Edochie did -- Rita Edochie

In the midst of a social media storm surrounding veteran actor Chief Pete Edochie, his sister-in-law and fellow actress Rita Edochie has stepped forward to shield him from what she calls “false charges and abuse.”

The controversy revolves around accusations that Chief Pete Edochie supported Judy Austin while starring in a film. Rita Edochie clarified that her brother-in-law’s involvement in the controversial project stemmed solely from his commitment to his craft, as he was unaware of the producer’s identity.

Furthermore, she revealed that Chief Pete Edochie withdrew from a second project upon discovering Judy Austin’s involvement, despite being paid for both.

Rita Edochie emphasized Chief Pete Edochie’s age and professionalism, urging detractors to refrain from involving him in such controversies.

She defended her sister-in-law, Mrs. Josephine Edochie, against false charges and urged the public to respect their privacy, particularly regarding matters concerning Yul Edochie’s marriage.

In a statement posted on social media, Rita Edochie addressed the situation directly, asserting, “Chief Pete Edochie is not desperate for film roles… He is only a professional who was paid to feature in a movie.”

She urged content creators and bloggers to stop spreading misinformation and to focus on the individuals responsible for bringing personal affairs into the public sphere.
