What new Liverpool boss stands to earn at the Club

Liverpool FC has announced the appointment of Arne Slot as their new head coach, according to a report from the Dutch outlet De Telegraaf. Slot, who previously managed Feyenoord, has signed a lucrative three-year contract and will officially take charge on June 1, 2024.

Slot’s contract at Liverpool will see him earning €8 million (£6.8 million) per year before bonuses, a significant increase from his salary at Feyenoord, where he earned between €4-5 million (£3.4-4.3 million) annually with bonuses.

The new deal also includes incentives that could further boost his earnings based on the team’s performance in national titles and cups.

The Dutchman is set to succeed Jurgen Klopp, who leaves behind a remarkable legacy at Anfield. Klopp, who joined Liverpool in October 2015, transformed the club’s fortunes, leading them to Premier League glory in the 2019/20 season and a Champions League triumph in the 2018/19 campaign.

His tenure also saw victories in the FA Cup and Carabao Cup, along with multiple strong finishes in the league.

Klopp’s final season at the club saw the team finish third in the Premier League with 82 points, trailing Manchester City and Arsenal. They also secured the Carabao Cup. His contract at Liverpool was valued at €17 million (£14.5 million) per year.
