“What my true religion is” — Iyabo Ojo

Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has shared a lesser-known facet of her life in the latest episode of AY’s Celebrities Quickies. The movie star disclosed that despite being very religious, she does not regularly attend church.

During the interview, Iyabo Ojo reminisced about being the first person in her family to embrace Christianity. She recounted her early spiritual journey, highlighting her active involvement in the church, including a four-year stint in the choir.

The actress further revealed that she dedicated considerable time to reading the Bible, covering it from Genesis to Revelations in a quest to deepen her understanding of God before experiencing a period of backsliding.

“I am a very religious person. I don’t know if people know that about me, though. But I don’t go to church. Is that not weird?” she expressed during the interview.

Iyabo Ojo seems to be taking a leaf of sorts from former OAP, Daddy Freeze’s page as regards religion.

Daddy Freeze via his social media platforms has constantly advocated against the over reliance on Churches and Clergymen to practice the Christian faith. It has since then become an ideology that has earned the social media critic more infamy than star status.
