What Man City defender, Ruben Dias did to Grealish mother's bag

Manchester City’s triumphant celebrations following their remarkable treble-winning season took an unexpected and comical turn when star defender Ruben Dias allegedly threw up in Jack Grealish’s mother’s handbag.

The incident occurred during the club’s open-top bus parade, which marked their achievements this season, including their Champions League victory over Inter Milan.

After their memorable triumph in Istanbul, the City players indulged in days of revelry, basking in the glory of their success. Pictures emerged of Grealish partying in his full kit, fully embracing the festivities upon his return to Manchester.

Ruben Dias, too, joined in the joyous celebrations, immersing himself in the party spirit. However, it seems the defender had difficulty keeping his composure after consuming a couple of shots. Ederson, the City goalkeeper, humorously disclosed the incident, claiming that Dias ended up vomiting in Jack Grealish’s mother’s handbag.

Speaking to Globo Esporte, Ederson said,

“After an exhausting and incredible season, it was only right that we let loose and express our emotions. These past few months have been filled with intense work.

When there’s drinking involved, people tend to enjoy it. Almost the entire group, around 99%, celebrated and indulged. Many players continued partying until Monday. It’s all part of the experience, enjoying the good times.”

He continued,

“The missing 1% refers to Nathan Ake and a few others who don’t drink, but they made an exception on this occasion. Ruben Dias tried to make that exception as well, but it didn’t go well for him. After just two shots, he couldn’t hold it down and regrettably, it all ended up in Jack Grealish’s mother’s bag.”

Following his tremendous contributions to Manchester City’s outstanding campaign, Ederson has now shifted his focus to international duty as he joins the Brazilian national team for their upcoming matches against Guinea and Senegal.

Similarly, Jack Grealish has reported for duty with the England squad and may feature in their Euro 2024 qualifiers against Malta and North Macedonia.

While the incident involving Ruben Dias may have caused a moment of hilarity during the celebrations, it serves as a light-hearted reminder that even elite footballers can succumb to the effects of a night of revelry.

Manchester City’s players will now gradually turn their attention back to the game as they prepare for the challenges that lie ahead in the new season.
