What Darwin Nunez will earn at Liverpool
The rumors are that Uruguayan sensation that has been targeted by Liverpool and Manchester United, have agreed personal terms with Liverpool ahead of the proposed move.
The deal, as per widely known by all, will rake in £85 million for the Portuguese club, Benfica, before anything is signed or agreed on.
But on personal terms, the 22-year-old will earn a reported £5.1 million per year at Anfield which roughly translates to around £98,600-a-week, according to Portuguese football expert Pedro Sepulveda.
The fee is much reminiscent of a certain Liverpool great; Sadio Mane who also was on a similar wage package at the club.
With the Uruguayan set to receive as much as what Mane received in his time at Anfield, it follows the notion that the Benfica player will be as much a replacement of Mane.
Mane is believed to be exiting the club partly because of the meager fee he commands at Liverpool, with Bayern Munich promising more money on should the Senegalese sign for them.
The former Southampton player is reported to want a pay rise of roughly £400,000-a-week, with Bayern Munich ready to prepare a deal in the region of £325,000-a-week.
Nunez, if signed will be coming to the Merseyside club on the back of an impressive 34 goals in 41 games season, including two goals which he netted against Liverpool.
He bagged his team’s only goal in their 3-1 defeat at home and netted in their 3-3 draw at Anfield.
